Congratulations to the Carnarvon Geese on winning the Bronze Medal in the Red Pool at the U13C Island Championships. The Carnarvon Geese had a wonderful season filled learning, laughter and a lot of Softball.

Due to the wildfires near Port Alberni, the tournament had to be moved. The organizers worked hard to secure venues in Duncan, Ladysmith and Parksville for the 17 teams. The Geese went 2-1 in the round robin, securing a spot in the Red Pool. After a hard fought loss to the Langford Lighting the Carnarvon Geese faced the Oceanside Riptided in the Bronze Medal Game.

Maggie and Charlie were beasts on the mound, splitting the pitching duties while Savvy and Vivienne came up big with clutch grabs. Strong hits by Beth, Jackie and Sonia as well as heads up base running by Abby helped put Carnarvon on top. Oceanside battled back, but Neko ended the game with a walk-off home run. Player of the game awards throughout the weekend went to Avalon, Maggie and Neko.

Wren and Mavis you were missed over the weekend, but you were with us in spirit.
